| Subject: | Updates to The City of Calgary Remote Video Inspection Services (RVI) |
Recent enhancements to the City of Calgary’s Remote Video Inspection (RVI) services have been made. Contractors and industry professionals can request on-demand same-day inspections without City Inspectors’ onsite visits Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. Secondly, Remote inspections are now being offered to a wider array of inspection types including electrical, plumbing & gas, building and development. RVI allows scheduling flexibility for contractors and industry professionals in Calgary by increasing availability for remote inspection services reducing the frequency of return trips to and from the project site. RVI facilitates remote connections between on-site contractors and City Inspectors through video calls, live-streaming and digital documentation. With RVI, contractors can expect faster inspection turnaround times, reduced expenses and increased accessibility.
