BILD Calgary Region (BILD) is pleased to share that the City of Calgary has released the Hoarding Guide – 2026 Edition, a new resource designed to provide greater clarity, consistency, and transparency in the permitting process for construction hoarding within the public right-of-way.
BILD is committed to continuing its partnership with the City of Calgary to improve how hoarding permits are planned, reviewed, and administered. Through early engagement, clear decision-making pathways, and defined opportunities for discussion and escalation, both industry and the City share a common objective: enabling investment and housing delivery while ensuring construction activity contributes positively to Calgary’s streets, neighbourhoods, and overall economic resilience.
BILD gratefully acknowledges the opportunity to work in close partnership with the City of Calgary’s Mobility team and the City of Calgary’s Planning and Development Services in support of the development of this important resource. BILD also extends its appreciation to Anthony El-araj, City of Calgary Manager of Traffic Services, and Krishan Aparna, Acting Senior Leader of Roadway Operations & Detours, for their time and contributions to this initiative.
