The 2023 Alberta Building Code – Code Change Highlights – Part 9

BILD Alberta’s Provincial Residential Technical Committee recently reviewed the changes between the 2019 and 2023 Alberta Building Codes as shown in the Government of Alberta’s Part 9 comparison document, and identified some code changes that industry members need to be particularly aware of. A Code Change Highlights document has been prepared to assist members with the transition to the new code. Important note: this document does not outline all code changes, nor all the requirements for compliance, and industry members must refer to the National Building Code – 2023 Alberta Edition in its entirety for compliance.
