| Subject: | Public Review of a Proposed Change that addresses Overheating in the National Building Code |
The Canadian Board for Harmonized Construction Codes (CBHCC) is inviting code users, interested parties, and the broader public to take part in a public review of a proposed change that addresses the following topic in the National Building Code:
Overheating in new dwelling units (Parts 1, 6 and 9): Adds a maximum indoor air temperature for new dwelling units.
The public review runs until February 24, 2025 and can be accessed on the CBHCC’s website here. BILDCR encourages members to review and provide feedback on the change being considered.
Following the public review, all comments will be considered by the relevant code development committees, and recommendations on the proposed change will be made to the CBHCC. If approved, the change will be included in the 2025 editions of the National Model Codes.
