Letter from the CEO
Dear BILD Calgary Region members,
The holiday season is upon us, which means it’s the perfect time to remind you of the BILD Calgary Region Christmas reception that our ‘must attend’ event of the year!
This year’s reception, on December 13, will be held in the Main Ballroom at the Hyatt from 4-9 p.m. Formal remarks will be made around 5:45 p.m. and proceeds from the event will go to the BILD Calgary Region Foundation.
For those that have attended in the past, you will know that the reception brings together our municipal partners (both administration and politicians) from all over the region to interact with our members. This is a unique opportunity to mix, mingle and enjoy some amazing food and drink in a very social setting that is always appreciated by our municipal partners.
Another ‘must attend’ event is the association’s annual Awards. As registration and judging is well underway, I feel like now is the perfect time to share with you that the awards affectionately known as the SAMs are getting an update. I’m excited to formally announce that the SAM Awards will be, from this point forward, renamed to the BILD Calgary Region Awards!
We are all very excited about creating a tighter alliance between the awards and the organization. The BILD Calgary Region Awards have been evolving and changing with the association and are no longer just about ‘sales and marketing (SAM)’. Today our awards cover all aspects of the building industry and recognise excellence in all built forms from around the region.
I hope to see you all at our Christmas Reception and the first #BILDCRAwards on April 14.
