In conjunction with the Industry Bulletin from April 2024 titled “Flow Metering for Commissioning of New Water Mains” and the 2025 Standard Specifications for Waterworks Construction, the email contact in Section 504.09.01 and the bulletin is being updated to direct total flushing volumes to the correct City of Calgary monitoring group.
Volume reporting is to be directed to waterservicesfosupport@calgary.ca rather than the originally listed waterservadmin@calgary.ca. This does not change any other requirements listed by the specifications and bulletin. Water consumption must be monitored with an approved system in the Waterworks Specifications and suitable backflow prevention must be used. Water Services does not intend to charge for the use of water necessary for commissioning.
