| Subject: | Draft Zoning Bylaw Lunch & Learn Sessions – UPDATE |
As noted in previous communications, the City of Calgary’s City Building team has released the draft Zoning Bylaw. To support industry engagement, Lunch & Learn sessions will be held in February and March, focusing on the challenges members are encountering with the draft bylaw. These sessions will assess whether the proposed zoning districts align with the building forms, densities, and uses your projects require. Your attendance and feedback are crucial in identifying gaps and refining the bylaw.

Lunch & Learn Schedule
- Session 1 – February 13, 2025 (11:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
- Part 3 – General Regulations (D1–D8, D10-D24)
- Session 2 – February 26, 2025 (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
- Parts 4, 5, 6 & 7 – D1 – Use Specific Regulations, Signs, Uses and Definitions & Administration – Development Permit Not Required
- Session 3 – February 27, 2025 (11:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
- Part 2 –Commercial, Industrial & Special Purpose Zones (D4 – D6)
- Session 4 – March 4, 2025 (11:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
- Part 2 – Mixed Use & Greater Downtown Zones (D2 – D3)
- Part 3 – General Regulations (D4, D5, D9)
Session Format & Registration – UPDATED
These sessions will be conducted in a hybrid format, available both in person at the BILDCR Office – Boardroom A and virtually via Microsoft Teams.
- If you would like to attend, please email Kathleen.Langtry@bildcr.com indicating your preference to attend either virtually via Teams meeting or in person.
- Due to the limited capacity of the boardroom, only those who have requested an in-person invitation can attend in-person.
