| Subject: | City of Calgary Home Energy Label Program – Pilot Phase Launch |
The City of Calgary has provided an update on the development of the Home Energy Label Program, ahead of the pilot phase launch in September.
On September 13, 2023, the voluntary Pilot Phase of the program will open for enrollment. During the one-year pilot, builders can opt-in and receive a $250 rebate for each EnerGuide label up to a maximum of $7,500 per applicant. The rebate is available through the new single construction permit (SCP) application for new single-family, semi-detached, or duplex dwellings. Starting in September 2024, EnerGuide labels may be required for all new low-density homes built in Calgary.
Further details can be found here and on the program webpage.
