April concluded with the Canadian Federal Election, and just a week later, BILD Calgary Region hosted its Unlocking Doors: Housing Supply and Affordability Summit. This timing was perfect, as discussions around housing—both market and non-market—played key roles for the Federal Election Candidates. This allowed BILD Calgary Region to position our association further, in alignment with BILD Alberta Association and the Canadian Home Builders’ Association National, as the trusted voice for the home building and land development industry.
The summit brought industry experts together with media outlets, offering reporters direct access to solutions and insights on expanding housing supply across Calgary. We appreciate the media that joined us and look forward to continuing the conversation as housing remains a key issue leading into Calgary’s 2025 municipal election.
