BILD CR Foundation Support Alpha House with $850,121 Donation

Did you know, as a BILD Calgary Region member you are automatically supporting the BILD Calgary Region Foundation?

Over the past 30-plus years the Foundation has provided aid to the community where BILD members live, work and play. The Foundation supports shelter related research and charitable initiatives, and education opportunities.

47% of women entering Calgar and Edmonton shelters over the last 10 years were Aboriginal.

The most recent project that BILD members helped support was a new building for Alpha House Society, one of the nine projects of the RESOLVE Campaign. This building is a permanent and affordable home that offers 24-hour support services and safety for 24 aboriginal women, so they can heal together.

On March 12, 2018, BILD was invited to the House Warming of this new building, where President of the Foundation, Randy Kraft, spoke on behalf of BILD, “BILD Calgary Region represents the building industry, who have been enormous contributors to the RESOLVE Campaign overall, we are proud to provide further support with this additional $850,121.06, specifically for Alpha House.

Since the Foundation’s inception in 1986, members of BILD have given over $8 million back to the community in the form of shelter related initiatives for those less fortunate.

“A safe, supported, warm home, that allows individuals to thrive is certainly our passion,” said Kraft. “We congratulate Alpha House on this beautiful new facility.”

BILD would like to congratulate and thank our members for the continued support of the BILD Calgary Region Foundation.
