ATCO has observed an increasing number of 4‐party service sites failing inspection due to insufficient length of stub exposed relative to the minimum 18‐24” requirement. This has resulted in ATCO’s installation contractor demobilizing from site and returning once rectified, delaying service timelines for builders.
The purpose of this bulletin is to provide additional information regarding the requirement, including examples highlighting the rationale and need for adequate space in order to successfully complete the installation of new gas service lines.
