The BILD Calgary Region (BILDCR) Foundation is proud to announce the six successful applicants selected to receive funding through the 2024 BILDCR Community Grant Program.

Each year, the Foundation supports capital projects that enhance the communities where BILD Calgary Region members live and work. Through this program, we provide funding to local organizations undertaking meaningful initiatives that strengthen community infrastructure, accessibility, and inclusion.

This year, we received over 35 applications from a wide range of inspiring projects. After a thorough review process, the following organizations were selected to receive funding for their proposed initiatives:

  • Autism Aspergers Friendship Society of Calgary (AAFS) – Renovation of the AAFS Makerspace to include a sensory room designed for individuals on the autism spectrum.

  • Easter Seals Alberta – Installation of accessible doors to improve mobility and independence for individuals with disabilities.

  • Hull Services – Roof re-insulation project to improve the comfort and energy efficiency of their facility.

  • Providence Child Development Society – Accessible classroom millwork project to create an inclusive learning environment for all children.

  • Trellis Society for Community Impact – Driveway concrete repair and replacement of exterior building panels to ensure safety and structural integrity.

  • Volunteer Airdrie – Creation of a community garden to promote food security, volunteer engagement, and local sustainability.

We congratulate all of this year’s recipients and commend the outstanding work they are doing to support their communities.

In addition to the funded recipients, several other deserving organizations are still seeking partial funding or in-kind donations to bring their projects to life.
